Sirens, lights, a ring - oh my!

Michelle & Joel ~ July 25,
2014
There once was a boy who fought
fires
And a girl who couldn't resist her desires
To marry her dream boy
After nine years of playing coy
She thought he was spinning her tires
All day they spent at the mall
The Christmas rush almost started a brawl
He hugged her extra tight that day
Careful not to give it away
It ended abruptly when he got a fire call
She waited for what seemed [...]

He couldn't even wait for dinner...

Katie & Matthew ~ July
27, 2013
It happened November 22, 2012.
Probably one of the scariest days for me because it was my 30th
birthday. I arrived home from school...yes, turning 30 and still in
college. He arrives home. He promised to make dinner for my
birthday, which isn't such an easy feat for him, so I was just
getting things ready for him to make dinner. He is good at
everything else...dinner just needs practice. I could sense that
something was up because [...]

J'lyn & Jim ~ August 17,
2012
Friday December 9th started like every other Friday. Up at 3:30 in
the morning, off to do my morning radio show at 92.5 JOE FM in
Edmonton, Alberta but wow did that soon change. At 9:45 my boss
Greg handed me a letter from Jim which stated that the next 24
hours would be all about me. He asked if I remembered that a year
ago was the day of the surprise birthday party he planned for me?
Um, no. He remembered of course...and [...]

Tiffany and Jeff ~
06/16/2012
Jeff had planned a trip to Victoria
for Tiffany's birthday. He asked her if there was anything she
wanted to see or do while they were there. Tiffany really wanted to
go to the Butterfly Museum because she had gone there as a child
and broken her camera so she had no pictures.
Not only did Tiffany love butterflies,
but they have a special connection with Jeff and Tiffany because
when they first started dating they saw a butterfly on every date
they went [...]

Michelle's Grower Direct might be
new to Bridal Fantasy but we are not new to the wedding world. Our
team had a fantastic first show in Calgary. It was a lot of fun to
interact with brides and find out what they are looking for in the
2012-2013 wedding seasons. We are finding brides are looking for
simple yet elegant bouquets for their special day and the biggest
hit was the bling that we placed in and around the arrangements;
definitely a show stopper. The fashion show [...]

Jesse and Ashley ~
09/15/2012
Jesse and Ashley had talked about marriage and knew without a
shadow of a doubt they were going to get married; they even spent a
few Saturday afternoons looking at rings! It really only came down
to the guessing game of when Jesse was going to pop the question.
Every time they went out to a nice dinner Ashley thought to
herself, "This is it, he's going to do it, he's proposing tonight!"
Then dinner would progress, dessert would come and go, the bill
would be paid [...]

Eating your fruits and veggies is
important, particularly for the bride-to-be who is trying to shed
those extra pounds and tone up before the wedding. But before you
grab that additional stock of celery (or any other type of produce)
make sure to look at EWG's Shopper's Guide to
Pesticides in Produce before you buy. Their shopper's guide
will help you determine which fruits and vegetables have the most
pesticide residues and which are the most important to buy organic.
You can significantly lower your pesticide intake by avoiding the
following 12 "most contaminated" fruits and vegetables [...]

Everyone wants to reduce
their ecological footprint on the earth. With global warming and
pollution becoming more apparent everyday, there are some simple
ways you can do your part with your wedding.
When choosing your
invitations, use a paper that has a high recycled content or is
made from an alternative source. Try combining as much of the
information as possible onto one card versus printing

So how can you still be
ecologically conscious when choosing out your wedding gown or the
formalwear for the groom? By doing a little bit of research and
checking out some options!
When choosing your gown,
why not say no to white? Get a dress in your
best colour and truly dazzle with your unique flair. Most of those
super-white wedding dresses get that way from a toxic chemical
process. Opt for not-quite-white and get a wedding dress made
from non-chemically treated, natural, earth-friendly

The reception “ one of the
best parts of the wedding day. When planning your dcor and menu
try to keep some of these ideas in mind.
Grow your own flowers
“ try potted asters, impatiens, mums, dahlias, daisies,
tulips, hyacinths, and miniature roses, which are all replantable.
Paint some cute pots in your wedding colours and use them as
centerpieces. Then your guests can take them home as a wedding
favour! Look at using bamboo as a decorating feature or wedding
favour “ [...]
