Kyle and Melissa met while attending school in Kona, Hawaii. They
attended school for three months and then went on a three month

Adding an
Heirloom Twist...

Now that you’re
engaged, don’t be surprised if your mom pulls out a dusty box from
storage with her old wedding dress in it to reminisce.
When you’re
styling your bridal gown, keep this saying in mind: “Something Old,
Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue.” Finding
something new, something borrowed and something blue is the easy
part; but finding something old can be a little trickier.

With summer sadly coming to a close, fall wedding trends
are making the change of season a little less bittersweet. An
astonishing 32% of weddings take place in the fall and we can
understand why – the colours and cuisine are so warm and
inviting.
The hottest Fall trends include: rustic and gold accents,
dim lighting, and harvest-inspired wedding favours and cakes! We
love the idea of using wheat grass as a centerpiece or
bouquet!

Time only makes the heart grow fonder . . .

Jenna & Graeme ~ August 27,

Graeme was the first boy to ever
pick me up and take me on a date. I was young, and absolutely
terrified of dating at the time. Although I was too nervous
to commit to dating, we stayed friends and kept in touch throughout
the years. We both dated other people, travelled, and
experienced life.
During a trip to Australia 2 years ago, we happened to be in the

Christmas Eve went by and there was no proposal, Christmas went by

Bringing a new meaning to the phrase "outdoor wedding" this
creative couple (featured on
black and white {side by side}) held a breathtakingly vintage
wedding, reminiscent of the 1920's. The antique accents helped to
recreate a feeling of the bygone era where times were simpler, but
it also managed to convey the feeling of subdued decadence. This is
a great example of being elegant, without crossing over into the
realm of extravagance.

Badgley Mischka's 2011 bridal
collection was shown in New York recently. Badgley Mischka's
couture gowns are globally sought after, and their designs
influence many other designers. The styles that BM embrace are
sure to be seen widely in gowns this year. Floral detailing
and petal shapes were evident through many of
the gowns. Oversized three dimensional blossoms, floral
beading on torsos, and skirts with petal like layers were shown.
Mark & James (Badgley Mischka's consumer line) 2011 collection
was also shown. These gowns were less elaborate - [...]

attending local events (Like Fashion with Compassion), one of the
easiest ways is by making wise consumer choices. Here are a few
retailers who are currently donating partial or full proceeds to

Before tying the knot at an

mean? That couples know where they stand financially at the

Hilary Duff and Edmonton's Mike Comrie were married in a romantic
sunset ceremony this weekend.

It was a small, family affair.
Only 100 of the couple's closest family and friends were invited.
Hilary's sister Haylie served as maid of honour, and Hilary walked
down the aisle with her mother, Susan, at her side. The wedding
took place at a $29 million estate in Montecito, Calif. on Saturday
afternoon. Hilary wore a strapless Vera Wang gown, and her dark
hair in a loose bun. Rose petals and candles lined the aisle.

"Something Old, Something New,
Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and a Silver Sixpence in Her
Shoe."
The quote above is familiar, and full of history. Britain's silver
sixpence was in circulation from 1551 to 1967. The tradition of
incorporating these elements into the bride's wedding dress and
accessories likely became popular during the Victorian era (Approx.
1837-1900). Inspired by this wedding ritual,
Malene Grotrian Design
helps brides to restore their mother's or grandmothers wedding
dress and turn it into a modern couture wedding for the new [...]

is a tradition that has been happening since the sixteenth century.
Since then, not much has changed. Bridal showers of all sorts today

thing should always be kept in mind when planning a bridal shower:
the theme should suit the bride's personality and style. Recently,

Research on cosmetic acupuncture
has shown that the process stimulates the flow of blood and energy
through the skin in the face, thereby hydrating and boosting the
skin's supply of nutrients and oxygen, and reducing the signs of
aging. More importantly, facial rejuvenation acupuncture helps to
harmonize the whole body. Acupuncture not only resolves problems at
the surface, but it also addresses the internal imbalance causing
the problem in the first place. The process begins with a personal
consultation and an assessment of your medical history, skin care
regime, and lifestyle. Then [...]

So what's the next new and upcoming

saying: Scherben bringen Giack, meaning "shards bring good luck."
This trend has led to the popularization and transformation of a

that any girl can cherish and appreciate (as proven by etsy.com).
Polterbend (derived from the German
