From simple buns, intricate or loose curls, twists, tussles, waves, and even diamonds . . . There is so much that you can incorporate into an updo. Here are some ideas for some different styles that you can try with your hair:
Casual:
While you're running last minute wedding planning errands, do your long luscious locks feel like they're in the way sometimes? Or maybe you just don't feel like spending hours on your hair that morning. Well, if you're looking for an easy (Do-It-Yourself) hairdo, simply twist your hair into a bun for that "I didn't just get out of bed" look.
Plus: If you leave your hair in a bun for a few hours, when you let your hair down, you'll have a wavy, night-out worthy hairdo. Just tease the roots a bit for volume, spray in some hair spray for hold, and voilĂ !
Messy:
The messy updo is a little too complex to be considered an easy DIY (Do-It-Yourself) look, but it's definitely all the rage. Female celebrities are all embracing this sexy & sassy updo for all sorts of red carpet events. This look would be great for a rehearsal ceremony and dinner! This laid-back and gorgeous updo is also perfect for outdoor and destination weddings, simply add a flower or another type of adornment and you're all set!
Here's an amazing tutorial to re-create this curly/messy/low side bun:
Tips: this look is all about texture, loose tendrils, waves, and delicate curls. A style that is great for layered hair!
Wedding:
When it comes to bridal updos, the sky is the limit! Simple buns, intricate buns, buns of all sizes, tightly or loosely curled tendrils, tiaras, diamond embellishments, pearl and crystal hair-bands . . . Oh the possibilities are endless. . . How is a girl to decide?!?
To get started, use different bridal resources such as bridal magazines and websites to compile a variety of updos and accessories that will embody your personality, individual style, and complement your dream wedding dress and veil (veil is optional of course). By making sure that your hairdo fits these 3 criteria, you will definitely feel confident, comfortable, and fabulous on your wedding day! Another great resource for ideas is to look to the stars! And we're not talking about the ones in the sky, but your favorite female celebrities. Thousands of dollars is spent on hair and make-up services at every red carpet event, so there are sure to be some pretty fabulous and inspiring hair styles that are absolutely wedding potential. As many would say today: just "google it" for pictures of both fresh & fancy celebrity updos.
Advice: Take precautionary measures; by doing a trial run of your updo you can prevent a potential bridal hair disaster on your big day. (That's the last thing you want before you walk down the aisle)
