My favourite thing about a wedding is that they reflect the relationship between the Bride and the Groom. If you're beach bums, a beach destination wedding is what to have; if you're religious, a traditional church wedding. Really, the possibilities are endless. For me, though, I'm a classic Canadian who loves the mountains, and I can't think of a better place to go than Waterton National Park for a nice, small wedding.

The thing about Waterton is that it's not overcrowded. As much as I love Banff and Jasper, I want my day to be MY day. Which means, I want as few people there as possible - other than my guests, of course. Waterton is an extremely quaint and quiet park which makes it perfect for you to enjoy your wedding in the mountains without any difficulty finding empty locations for photos or distractions for your guests.

There are three main lodging sites in Waterton. The first is Waterton Lakes Resort. This place is perfect for a small wedding. With 80 rooms, your guests can stay comfortably in chalets and enjoy a nice swim at the indoor pool when they have a chance. There is also a health centre on site to help you prepare and relax for your big day.

Secondly we have Aspen Village Inn. With beautiful views of the moutains, this budget hotel is perfect for families, so if you are onto your second marriage or have many guests with children, this is the hotel for you. The rooms range from deluxe suites to cottages, and have a picnic and playground area right outside. This hotel is also pet friendly!

Finally, we have The Crandell Mountain Lodge. This is perfect for booking hotel arrangements for your guest and/or bridal party. This quaint little place has 17 rooms. You get a wonderful, small cottage feel, with the comfort of a lodge.
