Theme weddings can be absolutely stunning. However, they have to be done right or it could just turn into a huge disaster. Fortunately for you, I'm going to outline three awesome trends for weddings this year, and give you some ideas!

1.      Eco-Friendly Wedding

Keeping the Earth green has been huge over the last few months, and an eco-friendly wedding won't only be beautiful, but it'll make you feel great! This wedding will have lots of earthy tones - greens, browns, pastel-y colours to match wild flowers. Your décor will also reflect your theme with the same colours and minimal look to it. For example, using old wine bottles or jars as vases (reduce, reuse and recycle!). Another great idea is giving away seeds as party favours. Your guests will be able to plant a tree or flowers in your honour, and watch them grow as your love does!

2.      The Great Gatsby

Yes, the wonderful book by F. Scott Fitzgerald is being made into a movie, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Carey Mulligan (to name a few), and it has shot the 1920's glam look back into fashion! From the hair to the clothes, glitz and glam has never looked better in modern day, flapper-girl style. Using vintage décor and patterns will give your wedding theme that extra flare, as well as smoky and mysterious lighting for your reception! Need any more tips? 3.      Candyland

Are you a whimsical, young, fancy-free couple looking to just have a blast celebrating your love with your family and friends? Have a Candyland themed wedding! Candy buffet's are very in for receptions, and can give your wedding that extra touch of creativity and uniqueness. On top of that, you're completely entitled to use any and every colour of the rainbow in your décor! Who wouldn't want that? Sounds to me like a wedding no one will forget!
