For Jennifer O'Brien and Brett Jackson remembering their anniversary will be unforgettable! Wed one year to the day they were engaged in beautiful Hawaii and two years to the day from when they first met. March 22, 2008 the pair crossed paths in a bookstore while eyeing the same book. On March 22, 2010 they formed their perpetual union within the exquisite CPR Pavilion in Calgary's Fairmont Palliser Hotel. As one of Calgary's favorite architectural buildings, the Canadian Pacific Railway Pavilion was elegantly decorated in black & white to compliment the building's railway theme along with it's steel frame, glass walls and luxurious 1920's era railcars. Upon entering Jennifer and Brett's wedding, it truly felt like a step back to a time of sheer elegance and charm. Guests were greeted by the classic music of a string quartet and were asked to add their special touch by painting on a large 'guest art' canvas for the bride and groom. It was important to Jennifer and Brett to express their love and commitment for each other in a personal way, so they wrote their own wedding vows. Family came all the way from the east coast of Newfoundland to the west coast of California to celebrate with the couple. On their wedding invitation, the opening line was 'Country Boy Meets City Girl' and the wedding photos displayed just that. For the city girl, stylish modern photos were taken in Calgary and for the country boy, rustic western photos were taken in the country at the set for the movie 'The Assassination of Jessie James'. Jennifer and Brett's wedding was the definition of love and romance. |
