unusual elegance: matthew & priscilla

Matthew & Priscilla have been friends for over 10 years and celebrated 5 years of dating just 2 weeks before their Halloween nuptials in 2010. Their wedding was an elegant black tie event with a Halloween, gothic or forest-y twist apparent in all the details. Held at the Art Gallery of Alberta, the day of their dreams was an expression of each of their personalities. From the life-size zombie and spooky table names to the crow covered willow archway and jack 'o' lantern cake - this wedding was all about the little things.

The ceremony took place in the theatre at the AGA, then, while the wedding part went out for pictures, guests were given their choice of free admission to go at their own pace, or a guided tour of the current exhibitions on at the AGA.  After photos, everyone reconvened for an amazing 4 course meal catered by ZINCatering in the main hall at the AGA.

The cake, centrepieces, all decor, accessories, entertainment, signage and card box were all DIY with the help of Matthew and Priscilla's family and friends. This wedding was unique, full of personality and definitely not your typical wedding - just like the couple.
